My Biography

My name is Ezgi DEVECI.I was born in Tekirdag on 27th August of 1990.I graduated from Tekirdag Anatolian Teachers Training High School.My family still lives in Tekirdag.I am staying in dormitory here,Faika Demiray.
I have a brother 3 years younger than me.His name is Akın.He is in high school in Tekirdag.He lives with my mother.My mother is a teacher.My father died 7 years ago,he was a judge.My extended family lives in Tekirdag and Silivri,Istanbul.My grandfathers and grandmothers' family emigrated from Thessaloniki and Drama,Greece during the years of World War I.Unfortunately,I lost three of them in 5 years back to back,only my father's mother is alive.
Because of my father's job,I've moved to different cities through Turkey for my birth.When I was only a one-month-baby we moved to Dicle,Diyarbakır during the years of Gulf War.And then we went to Harmancık/Bursa,Pınarhisar/Kırklareli,Burdur,İstanbul and eventually hometown.Thanks to these movings I have lots of friends with whom I still have communication.First and second year of the high school I was in Edirne Teachers Training High School.Because of some reasons I had to move to Tekirdag Teachers Training High School.But I have never forgotten my friendships in Edirne.I was in dormitory there and I took up with lots of people.Our dorm had a ward system and we were living with 30 girls in a ward.It was the most enjoyable part of my life.
As for Ankara,I couldn't like this city.Howsoever I have lived Tekirdağ since 2003,I adjusted myself to Tekirdağ and sea much.Every morning when I woke up,I saw the see while having breakfast.Our school sees the sea as well.If we were stressed a lot,we used to go to the seaside and dring tea with simit.Our bother used to go with the waves.
Since I began to the high school,I had wanted to study in Metu.But my thoughts changed in last month before the exam.I began to want Istanbul.But everything doesn't happens according to our demands.I am here now.I like the school when I'm free of courses =)
My best friend is also at Metu.She will study Philosophy next year.I thank to my lucky stars,I have lots of friends here,both in Metu and in Ankara.
In dormitory,I feel very peaceful and easy.I have very good roommates.We prepare food together.I learn different things,cultures from them.One of them is from Adana,the others are from Eskişehir and Konya.So,they cannot understand my sea-hunger =)
I'm in education faculty but never want to be a teacher.My eternal dream is having a boutique otel in Aegean Region,especially in Foça or a fish-restourant.I hope I could have opportunity to have a master degree from Bogazici University-Tourism Administration Department.
In my free times which are really a lot,I am with my friends.We have a veteran place to go in Kızılay.Its name is Biber.Most generally we go there.Biber is where I feel very comfortable.Music and approach of people is great.
On the other hand,I really enjoy myself while dealing with literature especially with poems.Cemal Süreya is my favorite poet.I like his thinking style.
Finally I want to say something for the beginners of Advanced Reading&Writing :) :
If you like writing something,you will enjoy this course but if you don't...Last semester I really enjoyed especially in blogs.I hope we will again free in choosing topics.
